Building Process All builders and general staff are allowed to take on the responsibility of contributing to the world of Domdaria. Here you will find the formal process for our system of project-based building system and notes on protocol to observe. At the moment, we are fleshing out and refining the content currently in-game and request all builders to take on these types of projects before proposing completely new content.
One Iteration of Project-Based Building [from Domdaria's TO DO Backlog] 1. Sign in to Trello and look over the TO DO board for a project you would like to take on. 2. Request permissions to the applicable zones/npcs/items from Afara, then retrieve the files from Stage using the World Editor. 3. Move the task in Trello to the IN PROGRESS list and assign your account as a Member to that card. 4. In the Builder section of Domdaria's forum, bump up the old thread related to the project or begin a new thread to make notes on progress, and seek input for any major change proposals for the project. 5. When satisfied with your work, move the task card from IN PROGRESS to DONE. 6. There may be some last minute tiny edits you may want to squeeze in while waiting for staff to review 7. After Afara and Zaimus review the new build, you may choose to work on any issues brought up then, or you may begin work on a new project from the TO DO list.
Notes - Keep the assets in Trello free from clutter and discussions of content regarding a project; only administrators may start a discussion if deemed necessary in regards to high level management of work flow. - Use a blocked or paused label on a task's card in Trello if you are hindered from working on it for some reason. - Builder's unable to script should let Afara know on the forums, (maybe someone can script it for you,) but in the meantime, use comments in the script text field within the world editor. Two dashes "--" begin a line of comments in the script. (Please describe how your script would function as mechanically or mathematically as possible.) - Please refer to published references to currently in-game lore when writing what should be related content, or talk to Zaimus. - Review the building guidelines and supplementary materials every now-and-then. - If on an extended leave, please let us know -- if a builder is absent for too long, the project will go back to the pool.
